CRM Video Research Database

Background

The CRM Resource database grew from the work of the Video Interest Group (VIG) at the Human Factors Group of the RAeS. The VIG discovered that it would be uneconomical and impractical to try to assemble a comprehensive video library for loan or sale to members due to the variety of proprietary restrictions. An alternative was to assemble data on the location and content of as many videos as possible, so that interested CRM developers could make direct contact with proprietary owners and reference copy holders. This became the VIG database. The database is owned by the HFG and Loftwork Ltd. Following incorporation of the Transport Canada Progressive Literature Review it contains about 490 entries.

The list is currently unsupported and has become obsolete. The Human Factors Group is looking for research funding to review and correct the list to include the many new videos and a list of CRM resource providers.

When a video or other resource is identified, the "owned by" and "Reference copy" fields identify the holder of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) if known, and the location of the copy reviewed. It is then up to individual users to make contact and discuss availability and suitability of the resource for their purposes.
